Warrant Arrests
On Friday, December 5, at approximately 11:30 am, Patrolman Sean Ross stopped a vehicle operated by Timothy Conley, age 21, of Phillipsburg, on Route 31 North near Route 78 for inspection and equipment violations. During the stop, Ptl. Ross located a $1,000.xx motor vehicle warrant for Mr. Conley's arrest out of Aberdeen Township. Ptl. Ross issued Mr. Conley a motor vehicle summons for Failure To Make Repairs. He was arrested for the warrant but later released after posting the $1,000.xx bail.
On Sunday, December 7, at approximately 9:25 pm, Patrolman Michael Akers observed that an unattended vehicle's trunk was ajar on Maple Avenue. Ptl. Akers soon made contact with the vehicle's owner, Charlotte Hancock-Tracyenburg, age 34, of Clinton Township and discovered that she had three (3) motor vehicle warrants for her arrest, totaling $1,332.xx, out of Bernards Township. Ms. Hancock-Tracyencburg was able to post bail on two of the warrants and was released with a new court date on the third.
On Monday, December 8, at approximately 3:05 am, Sgt. Thomas DeRosa came upon a vehicle operated by Vashaya Ramsey, age 32, of New York, NY parked on the side of Route 22 near Potterstown Road. Sgt. DeRosa soon learned that Ms. Ramsey had a suspended New Jersey driver's license and two (2) motor vehicle warrants for her arrest, one out of North Brunswick and the other out of New Brunswick, totaling approximately $1,800.xx. Sgt. DeRosa issued Ms. Ramsey a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Suspended. When she was unable to post the necessary bail, Ms. Ramsey was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail.
Driving While Intoxicated
On Friday, December 5, at approximately 10:40 pm, Sergeant Mathew Wilson stopped a vehicle operated by Mark Truglio, age 41, of Stewartsville, after receiving a report of an intoxicated driver traveling Route 31 South out of the Lebanon Township area. Upon approaching the vehicle, Sgt. Wilson immediately detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Mr. Truglio's breath and soon determined that he was intoxicated. Mr. Truglio was arrested and transported to police headquarters where his was given a breath test to determine the content of alcohol in his blood. As a result, Sgt. Wilson charged Mr. Truglio with Driving While Intoxicated, Failure To Maintain Lane, and Maintenance of Lamps. Mr. Truglio was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail after refusing to contact a responsible adult to respond and take custody of him. His vehicle was towed and impounded.
Rock Shatters Windshield
On Friday, December 5, at approximately 12:35 pm, Scott Forsthoffer, age 37, of South Plainfield, advised that he was traveling Route 31 South near Route 513 when a rock the size of a softball fell from the back of a truck and struck the windshield of his Volkswagon Passat. Patrolman David Formalarie observed that the Passat's windshield sustained heavy damage. Mr. Forsthoffer was able to signal the driver of the truck to pull over, which he did. Ptl. Formalarie spoke with the driver of the truck, Angel Lema of Boonton. Mr. Lema advised that he had just dropped off a load of mulch, that the rear of the truck was empty, and that he had checked his tires for rocks prior to leaving his delivery point. No summonses were issued and there were no injuries.
The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process of determining a person's guilt. All persons mentioned in this press release are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
