Warrant Arrests
On Friday, January 2, at approximately 9:30 am, Patrolman Andrew McCluskey stopped a vehicle operated by Aram Papazian, age 54, of Pittstown, on Route 31 South near Regional Road. During the stop, Ptl. McCluskey learned that Mr. Papazian had a $500.xx criminal warrant for his arrest out of the Clinton Township Municipal Court stemming from a prior Theft of Services charge. Mr. Papazian was arrested on the warrant and issued a motor vehicle summons for Maintenance of Lamps. He was later released after posting the necessary bail.
On Saturday, January 3, at approximately 2:00 pm, Patrolman Joseph SanGiovanni responded to a Petticoat Lane residence for a motor vehicle lockout. Upon arrival, Ptl. SanGiovanni learned that vehicle owner Islah Feaster, age 23, of Newark, had two (2) outstanding motor vehicle warrants for her arrest totaling approximately $900.xx. Ptl. SanGiovanni arrested Ms. Feaster and, when she was unable to post the necessary bail, Ms. Feaster was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail.
Fraud
Sometime between November 26 and December 27, 2008, unknown person(s) obtained the debit card number of a forty-nine (49) year-old Clinton Township woman and made seven (7) illegal transactions with it totaling $1,238.29. The transactions were made at various locations in both New York and New Jersey. The victim's bank is aware and is investigating. There are no suspects.
Marijuana Charge
On Saturday, January 3, at approximately 9:30 pm, Patrolman John Tiger stopped a vehicle operated by Joseph Fiori, age 18, of Clinton Township on Hamden Road near Wellington Drive. During the stop, Ptl. Tiger discovered that Mr. Fiori was in possession of five (5) bags of marijuana, a marijuana pipe, and alcoholic beverages. As a result, Mr. Fiori was charged with Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Underaged Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage, Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Careless Driving, and Unclear Plates. He was released ROR.
