If you want to get aerobic exercise, but you're turned off by the aerobics, try fencing. Fencing is not a fad, it has been around for hundreds of years. And it's included as one of the Olympic sports.
Anyone can stop by the Clinton Fencing Club weekdays 4 to 9 p.m. Watch or get involved--they furnish the equipment. The Club is located on Cokesbury Rd. in Lebanon.
The next introductory course for beginners starts Sept. 23 and runs for 6 weeks, according to Constance Bowden who runs it (www.ClintonFencingClub.com).
Fencing is like chess, only physical, Ms. Bowden explains. There's strategy involved if you plan to win the match. But you're only there for the exercise, right?
