Fall is in the air. Recent cool nights have made for some restful sleeping, and they have provided a prelude for the cool weather to come.

What better way to warm you up than a bowl of chili!

The annual chili cook-off held in Clinton every year is set for Sat., Sept. 27, starting at 4 p.m. It's happening at the rescue squad building on Old Rte. 22 in Clinton. Prizes will be awarded for winning chilis.

The affair is sponsored by the North Hunterdon Newcomers Club, the Clinton rescue squad and the Knights of Columbus. More info at www.BringTheHeat.org. Right now tickets are $15, after Sept. 24, tickets are $20. Children under 12 free.
